Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology. The role is full-time, 40 hours/week, with days shifts and potential call hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Incentives include sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for experienced RNs, and up to $7,500 for new graduates. Bridging programs to BSN/MSN are offered, plus loan forgiveness opportunities per Mercy’s programs.

Qualifications

• Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN/Diploma/BSN).
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days; ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with accountability.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Uphold Mercy Service Standards and professional accountability in daily duties.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.

Required Education:

Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate‘s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.

Other:

Physical requirements/demands:Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
