Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across ICU, CCU, ED and IMCU units, including pre/post procedure care and contrast administration. The nurse will apply critical thinking, sterile technique, and sedation policies while coordinating with physicians and families.

The role requires minimum 1 year nursing experience in critical care or peri-operative settings, current ACLS/BLS and RN licensure (compact allowed).

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing Required, Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
• All certifications are required upon hire: ACLS/BLS/N RN or multi-state compact license
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience in ICU/CCU/ED/IMCU and peri-operative nursing

Responsibilities

• Must be flexible with hours to meet department needs
• Able to work scheduled and On-Call hours if necessary
• Communicates effectively and maintains professionalism
• Transports patients as needed
• Provides privacy and comfort for patient/customers
• Maintains department records and regulatory compliance
• Completes chart reviews and paperwork
• Reviews cases with physicians and coordinates daily patient schedules
• Maintains crash cart readiness
• Ensures patient care from arrival to imaging results
