Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Hybrid Vascular Surgery. You will provide nursing care across pre- and post-procedure holding areas and procedure rooms, collaborating with cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular surgery, radiology, anesthesia, and other team members.

The role requires ADN, Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS, and experience in critical care or procedural nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required.
• Previous critical care, emergency, cardiac, or procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Cath Lab, EP, vascular, or procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment and respond appropriately to emergent situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and pre-/post-procedure care.
• Prepare patients for cardiac, EP, vascular, and hybrid procedures.
• Establish and maintain IV access and administer medications, including moderate sedation and critical cardiovascular medications.
• Monitor patients continuously during procedures and respond to changes in clinical condition.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, PCI, EP procedures, ablations, device implants, and vascular/endovascular procedures.
• Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring and assist with management of procedural complications.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency interventions and procedures.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, discharge teaching, and coordination of disposition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure appropriate completion of orders and records.
