Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Intermediate Care Unit.

You will collaborate with medical teams to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocate for patients, and ensure an exceptional patient experience. ACLS/BLS are required for this role.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• RN licensure required.
• Appropriate degree (associate or bachelor) in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Advocate for patients to support an excellent patient experience.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
