Job summary

Advocate Health’s West Allis Medical Center in Wisconsin is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care unit. The role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day and night shifts, self-scheduling, and a weekend program.

You’ll build foundational skills during preceptor orientation and provide continuous patient care across moderate acuity with a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio. A valid RN license and BLS are required, with tuition assistance and shift differentials available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process in intermediate acuity settings
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, therapeutic treatment
• Develop collaborative relationships to deliver high-quality, compassionate care
• Manage patient care continuity during 12-hour shifts and handoffs
• Support orientation and skill development through preceptor-directed training
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative unit culture
