Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan seeks a Clinical Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the ICU, applying the nursing process and patient-family centered care principles. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required: Associate degree in nursing, Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS within specified times, and within five years a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health care role and must have passed NCLEX.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• AHA ACLS required within 6 months.
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years.
• 1 year ICU RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Incorporate patient-family centered care principles.
• Work under the direction of the Nurse Leader per Corewell Health policies.

The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
