Responsibilities

• Receives and responds to inquiries and patient referrals.
• Determines appropriateness of referral for admission.
• Interfaces with hospital departments and physicians to facilitate admission.
• Evaluates reimbursement for proposed hospitalization and obtains pre-certification.
• Assists in determining resources required and ensures availability of indicated care.
