Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor to join our team on a full-time, part-time, or per diem basis. The role includes classroom, lab, and clinical instruction with AM/PM shifts; some evenings/weekends may apply.

Clinicals are conducted off-site at hospitals and facilities, with a 10% pay differential for evenings/weekends. Requirements include current RN/LVN licensure in the teaching state, 3 years bedside experience with a BSN or 6 years with an ADN, and current

Qualifications

• RN or LVN licensure in the teaching state
• 3 years bedside experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years with an Associate degree
• Meets Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements
• Knowledge of nursing practice and patient care
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Current immunizations and BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Improve instruction quality with innovative teaching methods
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content
• Review and revise syllabus within program guidelines
• Submit reports to Program Director on time
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices and safety
• Keep student records and assist with program data collection
• Update clinical requirements and immunizations records
• Teach courses and clinicals across times and locations
• Pursue professional development and CE hours
• Participate in committees when possible
