Portageville Health Care Center is seeking an experienced RN to join our faculty as an RN Instructor for CNA and CMT programs. You will deliver lectures, supervise clinical rotations, and guide students toward regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a current, unencumbered RN license, at least 1 year of RN experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to student success.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our faculty as an RN Instructor for our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Technician (CMT) programs. In this role, you will shape the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering comprehensive classroom lectures, leading hands-on laboratory practice, and supervising students during clinical rotations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep commitment to regulatory compliance and student success.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

• Deliver classroom lectures and instruction based on approved CNA and CMT state curricula.
• Demonstrate clinical skills and best practices in the simulation lab (e.g., patient transferring, vital signs, infection control, and proper body mechanics).
• Teach medication administration theory, pharmacology basics, dosage calculations, and safe distribution protocols required for the CMT program.
• Utilize educational technology, learning management systems, and practical training techniques to enhance student engagement.

Requirements

• Current unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
