Job description

We are seeking experienced and passionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to serve as Adjunct Instructor and Clinical Preceptors for the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. This role supports classroom instruction and clinical supervision for students in the CNA, CMA, and PCT programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging classroom and/or lab instruction aligned with course objectives and program standards.
  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate students in clinical settings, ensuring adherence to safety, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Provide mentorship and real‑world insights to students during clinical rotations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and clinical competencies.
  • Collaborate with the Certified Nursing Assistant Program Director to ensure curriculum alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required by the grant program.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of recent clinical experience in acute care, long‑term care, or ambulatory settings.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prior employment in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Level 2 background check clearance.
  • Prior teaching or precepting experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising nursing students and healthcare staff, assessing progress based on demonstrated clinical tasks and healthcare skills.
  • Experience teaching or supervising in CNA, CMA, or PCT courses.
  • Familiarity with grant‑funded educational programs and reporting requirements.

Position Type: Part time. Position Number: P0092288. Salary: $39.64 per hour (12 hours X 3 rotations = 36 hours). Salary commensurate with education and experience.
