Job summary

Fort HealthCare in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Services Department. The role covers adult, pediatric and ICU patients with opportunities for training and professional growth.

You will work the night shift, including every other weekend, and participate in a Nurse Residency Program and Shared Governance. Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and an active Wisconsin RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP if applicable.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin on hire; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP if applicable.
• Effective communication with care team, patient and family.

Responsibilities

• Follows the nursing process and develops/implements a plan of care using appropriate resources.
• Observes and interprets changes in patients' physiological and psychological status.
• Provides holistic nursing care including family involvement.
• Reports changes promptly to physician and family/
• Documents care in the patient's medical record.
• Collaborates with medical staff to deliver quality care.

Shift:
79 hours per bi-weekly pay period
Night shift including every other weekend

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Knowledgein the nursing process (assess, diagnosis, plan, implement, evaluate) and follows through with interventions. Develops and carries out plan of care for patients and utilizes appropriate resources.
• Visually observes and interprets alterations in physiological and psychological status of all patients.
• Provides holistic nursing care to patients that incorporates family involvement.
• Reports alterations in conditions promptly and immediately to physician/family of acuity and patient's status.
• Documents care provided and data elements in the patient's medical record.
• Collaborates with members of the medical staff to provide quality patient care.

Requirements of this position include:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
• Abilityto effectively communicate with care team, patient and family members.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of Wisconsin upon hire; BLS(required); ACLS, PALS, NRP certification (if applicable to specialty area).
