Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our radiology nursing team. This 80% FTE role offers 6:30am–8:00am start times with 8/10/12 hour day/evening shifts, Monday–Friday, including on-call coverage on weekends and holidays.

You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI. You will collaborate with providers and skilled staff using state-of-the-art technology across Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal services, contributing to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Six months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Wisconsin or a compact license
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • Relevant certification Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Join our team of remarkable nurses and collaborate with providers and technical staff using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Care across modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology Body, Interventional Radiology Neuro, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
  • Engage in teaching and learning culture and seek causes to problems and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

  • Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • Relevant certification Preferred
