Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Imaging (Finance). 90% FTE with shifts 6:30am–8:00am, Monday–Friday, plus weekend/holiday on-call. Work at University Hospital with a team of radiology nurses supporting interventional and imaging modalities.

The role offers diverse subspecialty experience, involvement in research, and a culture that encourages teaching and learning to advance nursing practice.

Qualifications

  • RN licensure in the State of WI or another compact jurisdiction upon hire is required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • Nurse Residency Program participation or six months nursing experience in inpatient units preferred
  • Relevant certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Join a team of remarkable nurses and collaborate with providers and technical staff using state-of-the-art technology
  • Deliver care in modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology Body, Interventional Radiology Neuro, Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal
  • Engage in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change within Radiology nursing
  • Contribute to teaching and learning culture by exploring underlying causes and solutions

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
  • Relevant certification Preferred
