Corewell Health’s Wayne Hospital is seeking an Infusion Clinical Nurse for the Cancer and Infusion Center. This part‑time role supports infusion therapies, patient assessments, and collaboration with the care team in a hospital setting.

The RN will apply clinical judgment to monitor patients, administer treatments, and prevent complications while ensuring patient-family centered care and safety within the infusion unit.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing from ACEN/accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN or higher) required or must enroll to complete BSN within 5 years.
• 1 year of relevant acute care, emergency, or ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process within infusion and cancer care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patients to prevent complications and adjust care as needed.

Scope of Work

The Infusion Clinical Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family center care principles. Under the direct supervision of the Nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. The RN assesses monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.

Qualifications Required

• Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree from an ACEN accredited diploma program.
• Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N, M.S.N, DNP/PhD- if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations. RN mush enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within the next five (5) years. This is effective April 18, 2023.
• 1 year of relevant experience acute care, emergency, or intensive care nursing
• Preferred LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan
• Upon Hire required LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
• Home Infusion Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
• Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross
• Upon Hire required CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Adult Infusion 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONS #N/A Adult Infusion 1 Year
