Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. The RN will work under Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope, collaborate with the care team, and ensure high-quality patient care with attention to safety and compliance.

Work hours are 7:30a-6:00p on a rotating weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certification in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of experience as an RN preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical specialty certifications recommended.
• Color acuity may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
