Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines. You will operate within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice and maintain current licensure.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing program degree, Georgia RN license in good standing, BLS certification, and may have a BSN or additional life-support credentials. Daytime hours with no weekends or on-call required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
