Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide bedside nursing care for patients, following physician orders and established guidelines.

You will work within the requirements of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, with rotating weekend shifts on a 7:30a–6:00p schedule; a BSN is preferred and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications encouraged; color vision may be role-specific.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines.
• Adheres to Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Work Hours:

7:30a-6:00p
