Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Professional Nurse for night shift (7PM–7AM) in Georgia. The RN will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines, within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Required: graduation from an accredited nursing program and Georgia RN license in good standing with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: BSN degree.
• Preferred: Two years of RN experience.
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP or other life-support certifications.
• Color vision acuity may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines.
• Works within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and established nursing scope of practice.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing


• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.


• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree


• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).


• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.


• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Work Hours:

7PM-7AM
