Job summary

Life Care Center of Longmont seeks an experienced RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate infection-related outcomes and drive HAI/CAI prevention on-site. You will collect and analyze data, present findings, and recommend actions to improve resident safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with infection control practices, educating staff and families, and leading antibiotic stewardship initiatives. A Colorado RN license and IPC-focused training are required.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing).
• Active RN license in the applicable state (Colorado).
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation and kept current.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial education prior to assuming the role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality of resident care and outcomes related to HAIs/CAIs.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze HAI data.
• Present infection data and make recommendations for action.
• Monitor compliance with infection control standards and use of prevention measures.
• Prepare and present education for staff, residents, and families.
