Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to oversee infection prevention and control within the facility. The role involves evaluating healthcare-associated and community-acquired infection data, presenting findings, and educating staff, residents, and families.

The RN will monitor public health advisories, lead the antibiotic stewardship program, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards on site.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation and kept current.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional education.
• Geriatrics experience preferred and TB certification may be required by state.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal sources, including the CDC.
• Serve as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC guidance.
• Work on-site at the facility; not an off-site consultant.
• Develop and oversee the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Maintain knowledge of infection control trends, practices, and employee health.
• Perform duties within licensed scope and adhere to company policies.
