Job summary

Life Care is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to oversee HAI/CAI data collection and analysis, presenting findings and recommending actions to improve resident outcomes. You will lead infection prevention across departments and educate staff, residents and families onsite.

The role requires an RN with MO license, nursing degree, CPR, IPC training, and geriatrics experience; you will monitor advisories, lead stewardship, and stay current with infection control trends.

Qualifications

• RN license in Missouri and an active nursing degree.
• CPR certification required and kept current.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial education.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.
• State-required certifications such as TB nurse.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
• On-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC guidance.
• Develops and maintains Antibiotic Stewardship Program accountability.
• Keeps up to date on infection control trends and employee health practices.
• Performs work within licensure scope and collaborates across departments.
