Community North Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Educator and Infection Preventionist (RN) to lead education programs and the hospital-wide Infection Control Plan. The role includes orientation of new staff, directing infection prevention activities, and collaborating with leadership to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN or Nursing Diploma program. Bachelor's or master's strongly preferred.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, evaluating and/or directing educational activities of clinical personnel.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a bedside RN
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees education programs, including clinical orientation of new employees.
• Drives and manages the hospital Infection Control Plan and reports findings to leadership.
• Analyze infection data, identify trends, and implement reduction strategies.
• Serve as the infection prevention and control content expert for the hospital.
• Identify nosocomial infection sources and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling outbreaks among patients and staff.
