Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Connecticut seeks an RN Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator to lead infection prevention, conduct audits, and drive quality improvement while supporting regulatory compliance.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, a $4,000 sign-on bonus, on-site work, and opportunities to educate staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and enhance resident care.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State RN licensure.
• 2+ years in infection prevention and control, staff development, and CMS/CDC/OSHA/DPH standards preferred.
• ICP certification preferred.
• CPR certifications including BLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor practices, investigate outbreaks, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with infection control regulations.
• Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs and promote best practices to improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development.

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus
Full-Time | 40 hrs per week
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | On-Call every 4th weekend

• Ensure compliance with infection control regulations by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications for Success

• Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• 2+ years prior experience in infection prevention and control, staff development, and regulatory compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) standards preferred.
• ICP certification preferred
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS
• RN ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
