Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Infant Special Care Unit. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care to newborns and guide unlicensed staff.

The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care, with weekend rotations and shifts 7:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30. A BSN is preferred, IL RN license, and BLS CPR certification required.

Experience in NICU/ISCU is preferred and opportunities for professional growth are available.

Qualifications

• Education: NLN accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required.
• License: IL RN license active.
• Experience: 1 year acute care or 1 year ISCU experience preferred.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: NICU/ISCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU.
• Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to patient safety and high-quality experiences.

Hourly Pay Range:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Infant Special Care Unit

• Location: Evanston, IL

• Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours per week

• Hours: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, with weekend rotation

• Float: when needed

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year ISCU experience preferred

• Unique or Preferred Skills: NICU/ISCU experience
