Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Infant Special Care Unit. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week, night shift 19:00–07:30 with weekend rotation and a $25,000 sign-on bonus.

You will provide independent nursing care in ISCU, use the nursing process, supervise unlicensed staff, collaborate with the healthcare team, and promote patient safety and high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Current IL RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year ISCU experience preferred.
• NICU/ISCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care in the ISCU.
• Apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Supervise assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• SIGN ON BONUS: $25,000*Experience: .A minimum of 18 months of NICU/ISCU experience required to be eligible for the sign-on bonus.
• Position: Registered Nurse - Infant Special Care Unit
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours per week
• Hours: 1900-0730, with weekend rotation
• Float: when needed

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year ISCU experience preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: NICU/ISCU experience
