Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the nursing team. The RN will use the nursing process to direct, provide and evaluate age-appropriate patient care and develop care plans while maintaining medical records.

Qualified candidates will have NC RN licensure, BCLS, and may hold additional specialty certifications. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as an RN in North Carolina; BCLS certification; additional certifications in specialty areas.
• Good interpersonal skills; communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
• Able to multi-task; strong organizational skills; customer focus; sound judgment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• The RN operates as a key member of the health care team using the nursing process, clinical skills and leadership to direct, provide and evaluate age/population specific patient care.
• Analyze patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans; maintain medical records.
• Provide cost-efficient care with excellent clinical outcomes through collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
