Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Raleigh, NC to provide patient care within the scope of practice and help prioritize work assignments. The role requires nursing licensure in North Carolina and a diploma/ADN/BSN from an accredited program.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, performing exams and procedures, administering medications, and documenting care. Prior experience in physician offices or ED is preferred. Onsite work, 40 hours per week, day schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ADN or BSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina; BCLS.
• Experience in physician offices, urgent care, or emergency department preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and to document care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate competence in patient care including assessment, exams, procedures, medications, and education.
• Process orders, return patient calls, and notify physicians of results.
• Document care provided in the patient’s medical record.
• Facilitate patient flow and prioritize work assignments.
• Maintain supplies and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and apply evidence-based nursing practices.
• Ensure safety/regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention).
• Demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork with patients and families.
