Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to participate in unit governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care delivery. You will apply the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will uphold safety standards, maintain thorough EHR documentation, and may float to other units as needed in the service area. BSN is preferred and an active RN license with BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the required state(s).
• BLS certification; additional training may be required by specialty.
• BSN preferred for preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs within the service area.
• Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and delegate appropriately.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
