Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver and coordinate patient care across units. Responsibilities include documentation, patient/family engagement, and potential float to other units. Active RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes
• Promotes safety and ethical care, adheres to standards of practice
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and delegates as appropriate
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications
• Follows ANA Ethics code and respects interdisciplinary roles for integrated patient care
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs
