Job summary

Genesis in Gettysburg, PA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care under supervision, adhering to state practice acts and coordinating with LPNs and CNAs. You will engage in comprehensive assessments, care planning, and evidence-based nursing care to promote positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Licensure: Active RN license in the State.
• Certifications: BLS/CPR certification.
• Clinical Experience: Long-term care, post-acute care, rehabilitative, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Language & Communication: English proficiency.
• Health Requirements: Complete health screenings, including TST as mandated by state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications/treatments; optimize patient recovery and minimize rehospitalizations.
• Lead and delegate care to LPNs and CNAs; ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and interprofessional teams; manage discharge planning.
• Mentor and onboard newly hired nursing staff to support team growth.
• Maintain accurate, real-time clinical documentation using PCC EHR.
• Comply with HIPAA, infection control protocols, and facility safety guidelines.
