Job summary

Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Critical Care (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our nursing team on the night shift. This full-time role features a 12-hour night schedule and 36 hours per week, with alternating weekends, in a 24-bed ICU trauma and cardiothoracic unit within the Johns Hopkins Health System.

The ideal candidate will hold Maryland RN licensure, an ADN (BSN preferred), and 6 months ICU acute care experience; 1 year preferred.

Qualifications

  • BE/RN licensure in Maryland or Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred.

Unit Info
  • Intensive Care Unit (24-bed Trauma, Cardiothoracic, complex medical Surgical ICU)
Minimum Education And Experience
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland (or other Nurse Licensure Compact state)
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months RN acute care ICU experience. Preferred, 1-year plus ICU Hospital experience or more.
  • Ability to response/care for patients requiring level 1 and level 2 critical care setting preferred.
  • Ability to respond/care for urgent strokes and STEMI preferred.
  • Code Blue and Rapid Response team experience preferred.

Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire

Salary Range

Minimum 43.25/hour - Maximum 67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
