Valley Health in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse II (RN II) for the Ambulatory Surgical Unit (ASU) — Regular, First Shift. The RN will perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, while leading quality and safety initiatives and coordinating care with the health-team.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and experience meeting unit competencies. BSN preferred; ACLS/EKG and pharmacology coursework may be required for Labor and Delivery.

Formación

• Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• RN license required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS or EKG is required for Labor and Delivery RNs within 6 months of hire.
• Pharmacology class is required for Labor and Delivery RNs within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives and activities of other health team personnel.
• Ensure timely communication, teamwork and professional behavior in all patient care activities.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and participate in unit and hospital committees as needed.
