Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Part Time RN for Night shifts on the ICU Step Down unit at Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd. This 32-bed high-energy unit cares for neurological, medical and surgical patients transitioning from ICU, including stroke care within a Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualified candidates hold an RN degree, active license in the state, and BLS certification. Preference for BSN. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity patient care on the ICU Step Down unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient plans.
• Adhere to stroke center protocols and safety standards.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
