Job summary

Mercy Hospital's ICU Step Down unit at W Memorial Rd is seeking nurses for Nights, Full Time (36 hours per week). Sign-on bonus available: up to $15,000 for experienced nurses.

The 32-bed unit serves neurological, medical, and surgical patients and is part of a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Applicants must have an RN license (compact if possible), a nursing degree from an accredited school, and BLS certification; BSN preferred but ADN acceptable.

Qualifications

• RN license must be current in the hiring state or hold a compact licensure.
• Nursing degree from an accredited school is required.
• BSN preferred, ADN acceptable.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a high-acuity ICU Step Down unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage neurological, medical, and surgical patients.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to emergencies.

Education

Nursing degree from an accredited school

BSN preferred; ADN acceptable

RN license in hiring state/compact licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
