Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma is hiring for an ICU Step Down RN. This 32-bed unit provides care for high-acuity neuro, medical, and surgical patients as part of a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for experienced nurses, with full-time placement at 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state-moted or compact licensure)
• Nursing degree from an accredited school (RN)
• BSN preferred but ADN acceptable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed ICU Step Down unit for neuro, medical, and surgical patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to deliver high-acuity care.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions and coordinate transitions from ICU as appropriate.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
