Job summary

Mercy Hospital, located at W Memorial Rd in Midwest City, Oklahoma, is recruiting an experienced nurse for an ICU Step Down unit. This 32-bed unit serves patients transitioning from ICU with higher acuity needs, including neurological, medical, and surgical cases as part of a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Not currently accepting new graduate nurses. The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, full-time at 36 hours per week, and a supportive team focused on compassionate care,

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in the hiring state.
• Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred; ADN acceptable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
