Job summary

Mercy Hospital on W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma seeks experienced nurses for the ICU Step Down unit. The 32-bed unit handles patients transitioning from ICU and needing higher levels of care, including neurological, medical, and surgical cases within a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

The role is full-time days, 36 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for experienced nurses. New graduate nurses are not currently being accepted.

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care on the ICU Step Down unit.
• Collaborate with care teams to transition patients from ICU.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation and plan of care.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
