Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an RN for the ICU night shift. This full-time role (36 hours/week) runs 6pm–6:30am with every other weekend. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for RNs with 2+ years ICU experience.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, teaching, and adherence to nursing standards. Illinois licensure and AHA CPR are required. Compensation includes base pay adjustments and comprehensive benefits, plus retirement and wellness options.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and health data collection.
• Coordinate patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe and timely.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Individualize patient and family teaching based on learning needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing practice standards and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate. Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing. Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs. Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives. Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need

Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
