Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to manage activities, workflow, and nursing resources for the assigned unit(s). The role focuses on staffing, training, budgeting, and ensuring high-quality patient care within regulatory standards.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field and RN licensure in the applicable state, with progressive leadership experience or a combination of leadership and clinical background.

Qualifications

• Two years' registered nurse experience with progressive leadership responsibility OR one year of registered nurse experience plus one year of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is required for this role.
• RN licensure in applicable state(s) per location (IL/MO/OK/WI) is required or eligible

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
