Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU at Saint Louis University Hospital. The RN will assess, manage, and coordinate nursing care for patients in the ICU, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the hospital stay.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, timely documentation, medication administration, and care planning in collaboration with the health team. Night shift duties and 36 hours weekly are noted in the department.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri.
• One year of registered nurse experience required.
• WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
• Documents findings and plans of care.
• Administers and documents medications.
• Monitors and documents IV fluids and nutrition.
• Collaborates with health team for daily care plans and handoffs.
• Ensures infection control practices and patient safety.
