Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, Missouri is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for the day shift. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with the ICU team, and help ensure high-quality outcomes for critically ill patients.

This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly, a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for qualified experienced nurses, and benefits starting on day one, including health, retirement, and education support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Missouri RN license or Compact State RN license accepted.
• Strong critical care, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

ICU Nurse Requirements

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Additional unit-specific certifications as required

• 13-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• 6-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU)

The ICU cares for patients with a wide range of critical illnesses and diagnoses, providing excellent opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and critical care nursing expertise. The Transitional Care Unit supports patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring enhanced monitoring and treatment.
