Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This is a full-time night position (36 hours weekly) with Weekend Only Work (WOW) plus one weeknight, offering premium pay for WOW shifts.

The ICU provides care for critically ill adults; new graduates are welcome. You will perform direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge on a 16-bed unit and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
• Baptist Health Floyd is Pathway to Excellence® designated.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with: stroke; sepsis; shock states with or without multi-organ failure; and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome.
