Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for the Intensive Care Unit with a Neuroscience focus. The nurse will care for ventilated patients and those with ICP monitoring, in a 28-bed Neuroscience ICU. The role requires at least 1 year in ICU, EPIC charting, and a VA or compact state license.

Night shift, 12-hour blocks, 13-week assignment, with cross-training and float within the unit as needed. BSN preferred and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• 1 year ICU experience required.
• Neuro ICU experience required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Must hold VA license or compact state license.

Responsibilities

• Care for ventilated neuro ICU patients.
• Monitor ICP and neuro status.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation when applicable.

Description:This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit, specifically in Neuroscience care.The nurse will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients and patients with ICP monitoring.Experience in administering and monitoring procedural sedation is strongly preferred.Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with the care of stroke patients and have overall 3's and 4's in the Neuro section of the skills checklist.The unit typically manages a daily census of around 26 patients and operates with a total of 28 beds.Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.Candidates should be prepared to float within the scope of the unit if necessary.A BSN is preferred.All candidates will undergo standard background checks.
