This role involves night shifts with 36- or 48-hour blocks, and a schedule that requires working every other weekend and holiday, plus 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Up to 40 hours off may be approved.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke certification required; pending acceptable.
• Float policy compliance mandatory.
• VA license pending status acceptable for application.

Neuro ICU Critical Care Opportunity

The Neuro ICU is a 12-bed specialized critical care unit focused on the intensive treatment of patients with severe neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Typical cases managed here include central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgeries, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, endovascular interventions, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, status epilepticus, and infections of the central nervous system.

Shift Information

• Available shift lengths: 36 or 48 hours
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed or available
• Night shifts
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Required to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke certification required; candidates may apply if certification is pending
• Compliance with the facility’s float policy is mandatory
• VA license pending status is acceptable for application
