Job summary

Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, part of MultiCare, seeks an experienced RN House Supervisor to serve as in-house administrator for the hospital-based team. You will lead clinical operations, uphold policy, and guide staff through complex patient care scenarios with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or obtained within five years from date of hire.
  • Advanced nursing degree (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification or must become certified within 6 months of employment.
  • Five years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Three years of management experience preferred.

  • Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating.
  • Use critical thinking in decisions regarding patient care with standards, resources and data.
  • Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, staff and health care team.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.

Position Summary

We’re seeking an RN House Supervisor to ask as in-house administrator for our hospital-based team. Overseeing hospital policy and problem resolutions, you will serve as a both leader and resource in facilitating efficient operations throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing bases
  • You will engage your critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
  • You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS certification or must become certified within 6 months of employment
  • Five (5) years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role
  • Three (3) years management experience preferred
