Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
• 3+ years acute care experience required; CCU/charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required; ACLS/CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues that need administrative action and communication forward to appropriate level.
• Supervises and leads staff effectively.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned area.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
