Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide administrative/clinical support to facilitate patient care. You will work within the nursing process, supervise staff, and ensure quality care while coordinating with the care team across units and sites.

The ideal candidate holds a RN diploma (BSN preferred), 3 years acute care experience, and an active RN license in the state. BLS is required; ACLS/CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS and CCRN are preferred credentials.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues that need administrative action and communication forward to appropriate level.
• Supervises and leads staff effectively.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population and communicates appropriately.
• Performs other related duties as required.
