UC San Diego Health in San Diego seeks an Inpatient Nursing Shift House Supervisor to oversee shift nursing activities and serve as administrative resource for hospital and nursing administration. The role provides clinical support across inpatient units and requires collaboration with nurse managers for on-shift staffing.

The supervisor hires and trains staff, conducts annual appraisals, and may perform disciplinary actions in consultation with HR.

Qualifications

• BSN required and valid California RN license.
• Current BART/ART or BLS/CPR and/or ACLS certifications at hire with plan to get AART within 6 months.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, incl. 3+ years RN in acute care.
• Recent supervisory/management experience in hospital settings.
• Knowledge of TJC accreditation and disaster management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee nursing activities on shift and act as admin resource for hospital and nursing leadership.
• Collaborate with nurse managers and charge nurses on shift staffing.
• Hire, screen and interview staff; conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Serve as onsite admin during off hours and lead quality/safety initiatives.
