Job summary

The House Supervisor at Blessing Health coordinates and organizes personnel and resources to meet patient care needs around the clock, ensuring cost-effective operations and effective communication among departments.

Collaborates with Nursing Leadership to provide crisis management, interpret policy, and uphold ICARE standards and Nursing Ethics in all venues.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years related nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year progressive nurse leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assures the daily personnel, equipment, and technology resources for safe, high quality patient care.
• Provides resources for clinical and support staff to facilitate safe care decisions.
• Coordinates response to events threatening people, structures, assets, or reputation.
• Role models effective two-way communication and problem solving at the organizational level.
• Recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of centralized staffing nursing staff.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with professional standards, regulatory standards, ANA Code of Ethics, and organizational policies.
• Maintain a healthy work environment with a just culture.
• Performs patient and employee rounding.
• Fulfills Mission, ICARE standards, and Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Job Summary

The House Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The House Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24 hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and acts on behalf of the Nursing Leadership team.

JOB TASKS And RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assures the daily personnel, equipment, and technology resources necessary for the provision of safe, high quality patient and family care.
• Responsible to provide resources for clinical and support staff in decision making that facilitates safe, high quality patient care.
• Coordinates the response to significant, planned or unplanned events that threaten the institution's people, structures, ability to operate, assets and/or reputation.
• Role models effective two-way communication and problem solving at the organizational level
• Recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of centralized staffing nursing staff
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with the following;
• Professional development
• Adherence to nursing standards of practice
• Regulatory standards
• ANA Code of Ethics
• Peer reviews
• Organizational and unit policies
• Mandatory education
• Infection control practice
• Scheduling processes and procedures
• I CARE standards of behavior

• Performs patient and employee rounding

Education/Training/Experience

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years related nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year progressive nurse leadership experience
  
  

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

• Possesses current state RN license.
• Maintain current BLS
• National Nursing Leadership Certification (when eligible)
• ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
