Job summary

Avita Health System's Galion Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This regular part-time night-shift role (7p-7a), two shifts weekly with rotating weekends/holidays, offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a collaborative team environment.

The ED RN provides professional nursing care and coordinates with multiple disciplines to manage patient flow. Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license and BLS, with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within defined timelines.

Qualifications

Current State of Ohio RN license required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
TNCC certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department.
Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
Prioritize care based on physical and psychosocial needs and patient flow.
Communicate ED status changes to physicians and respond to changes quickly.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our EmergencyDepartment at our Galion location.

Position Overview

Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Qualifications

Required:

Current State of Ohio Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS Certification.
ACLS certified within 3 months of hire.
PALS within 6 months of hire.
TNCC within one year of hire.

Preferred:

1 – 2 years Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months.
